The small front pockets take spare batteries, a microfibre cloth etc and the rather tight and inaccessible side pockets easily take a small pack of tissues or wipes. I have reproofed the canvas once and it shows gentle signs of weathering, which can either add character or look like the newness has worn off, whichever way you tend to see such things.
